Merrill Creek Reservoir is looking for passionate individuals like you to join our Stewardship Team of dedicated volunteers. Volunteering with MCR is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team that creates positive change and meaningful impact to important ecosystems here at MCR. Volunteers work on specific habitat and trail projects, as well as assisting with the collection of specific species data through monitoring efforts. Some projects include improvements and upkeep of our pollinator gardens, bluebird nest monitoring, habitat plantings and stewardship of those areas. Project specific training will be provided. MCR welcomes suggestions for projects by the volunteers and collaboration is encouraged. The Stewardship Team meets every Tuesday at the MCR Visitor Center from 9 am to 12 noon and it is a great opportunity to meet like-minded individuals, develop new skills or sharpen ones you already have, and best of all, you get to make a meaningful positive impact on the environment! Volunteers must be willing to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and be comfortable using hand tools. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
